Safiya Miller
Graduate Research Assistant Africana Studies- Biography
Safiya Miller is currently working on her master’s degree in Africana Studies. She plans to explore the history of the former Rose Hill community, now Candler Park, to grasp the connections between liberal belief systems and institutional racism. She attended Georgia State University for undergrad, researching kinship ties and exploring archives contributing to Dr. Elizabeth West’s forthcoming book Finding Francis. Currently, she is the social media manager for the Center for Studies on Africa and its Diaspora and a Writing Across Curriculum consultant.
